Grand Bear Lodge

We met our friends, Josh and Leah and their twin 3 year old boys, Ethan and Lucas at Grand Bear Lodge last weekend and had a blast at the indoor water park/ amusement park.
Don't ask me what the giant snowman is about, I have no idea. But we liked it.

Carter loves everything about water right now. He could have stayed in the waterpark all day. He was more interested in swimming in the deeper water, then he was in playing in the sprinklers, slides or lazy river, but he tried them all. Every time the buzzer rang for the wave pool to start up you would hear this roar of people hurrying to get to the wave pool area... Carter was one of them... he couldn't get there fast enough. Collin on the other hand couldn't get enough of the sprinklers. He liked sitting at the zero entrance and letting the waves hit him and he could have fallen asleep riding around the lazy river. Collin also enjoyed snack and drink time...
Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures of the kids playing at the water park. :( But this is what Collin looked like by day 2 of the excitement...
There is also an indoor amusement park (indoor carnival) which was gaurded by this...

So after supper we braved going and riding some rides. It was extremely loud and so dark I almost forgot that it would still be light out when we left. Carter, Ethan and Lucas rode the roller coaster, carousel, tigers, and boats. These were the rides they were tall enough to ride. Collin got to ride on the carousel, and after seeing how slow the boat went we decided to let him take a turn. In fact I think I might push the stroller faster then the boats went. The 3- 3yr olds were so bored by the boats we thought they were going to fall asleep! We laughed so hard about this because when they got on Leah told them to hold on because we didn't know what the ride would do. Here is a picture of the boat ride...

Can't you just tell by Carter's body language that he has never been so excited... I actually think this is about the point were he was at risk of falling asleep. Also... notice how they are the only ones on the ride... here's your sign...

We also rented a townhouse. There is a train that shuttles people every 15 min from the townhouses to wherever you want to go. The train was just as fun as any of the rides, and most importantly, it was Free! After a full day of playing hard we gave the boys a bath in the whirlpool tub, popped popcorn and watched Curious George 2.

After a fun and exciting weekend with great friends, it wasn't long before our car was quiet as could be...

Thanks for the memories guys, can't wait to do it again.
